David Yuile – Chief Executive Officer
As Chief Executive Officer of AAPT, David Yuile is an energised business leader with 20 years proven track record working with both blue chip and private equity financed companies across four countries. A consummate operator with demonstrated turnaround experience, David delivers on ‘The Extreme Performance Networking’ vision across the Enterprise, Wholesale and Media segments of AAPT. David’s strategic thinking skills and knowledge were instrumental in the transformation of AAPT and assisted in the introduction of sustainable business practices in a competitive and ever-changing market.
David was the former Chief Operating Officer at AAPT and held various roles prior to joining the organisation including Director of Networks at PowerTel, Chief Executive Officer of 90 East and co-founder of Sales Technology that he sold to NASDAQ listed provider Interliant.
David is a dedicated supporter of start-ups and technological innovation in Australia and sits on the advisory board for San Francisco based technology start-up Framehawk. David also holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) degree from the University of Glasgow.
Mark Rafferty – Director of Sales
Mark Rafferty was appointed Director of Sales in June 2012, responsible for AAPT's wholesale and business divisions. Mark's philosophy of working with our customers to deliver solutions built to suit their specific requirements has secured AAPT the prestigious Service Distinction Award.
Mark has been part of the senior management team for over six years, more recently as the General Manager of Business Solutions since 2009. Prior to that Mark was AAPT's QLD State Manager responsible for all regional distribution and customer management.
Mark joined the company in 2006 following four successful years holding senior management roles with two of our longest standing wholesale customers.
Michael Edwards - General Manager, Product & Technology
Michael Edwards was appointed General Manager of Product and Technology for AAPT in July 2011, having previously held the position of Head of Product for more than a year and Head of IT for three years. Michael has led a number of significant projects within AAPT, most notably, the development of the AAPT Business Portal – AAPT Frontier, launched in February 2011.
Prior to joining AAPT, Michael was the General Manager of Product Marketing and Strategy at PowerTel, where he became responsible for system and product portfolio rationalisation following the merger with AAPT. Before taking a role in product, Michael was the OSS/BSS architect at PowerTel and held the same role at Request Broadband prior to this. Michael has more than 14 years of IT and engineering experience within the telecommunications industry and holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Systems, Honours, 1st Class) and Bachelor of Applied Science (Computer Science).
Art Cartwright - General Manager, Customer Service and Infrastructure
Art Cartwright was appointed to his current position as General Manager of Customer Service and Infrastructure in July 2011, where he manages the Customer end-to-end technical experience, a role that ranges from pre-sales consulting through to post-sales servicing.
Art has more than 20 years of experience in the ICT industry where he has led a number of significant projects within AAPT. Most notably, Art was responsible for the successful implementation of the new national IP/MPLS and inter-capital networks. Prior to his current role, Art was Head of Infrastructure Services at AAPT and General Manager of Operations Engineering for PowerTel. Art holds a Bachelor of Science (Electronic Engineering) from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
